Welcome to Swale Borough Council's Consultation Portal

Listed within this page are all of our consultation events. In some instances, you will be asked to register or log in before being able to participate in a consultation event. To register  please click on the 'Register' link within the 'Login' section.

The consultations can be considered under five headings. More detailed information is available when you select the consultation of interest from the drop-down list below.

1) Core Strategy

The Core Strategy is the Council's overarching strategic planning policy statement that will guide future development in the Borough to 2031. We have had a number of consultations. Our next consultation on the draft Core Strategy will be available from the 26 March 2012.

2) Gypsy and Travellers

The Council has assessed all the Gypsy and Traveller sites within the borough, together with those put forward as potential sites.

You can also view our policy document which outlines the Council’s approach in dealing with the needs of the  Gypsy and Traveller  community.

3) Developer Contributions

We have published a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which is intended to provide guidance to developers submitting planning applications in respect of the Council’s expectations for developer contributions and clarify the process through which developer contributions will be dealt.

 
4) Statement of Community Involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out our approach for involving the community in the preparation and revision of local development documents and planning applications.

5) SittingbourneTown Centre and Milton  Creek

This Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) looks at the regeneration of Sittingbourne Town Centre and Milton  Creek.
